The Festival's legendary Bonfire Night returns to Dundarave Beach with the District of West Vancouver.  This is the night when we connect with the best spirit of our community, renew the bonds of love and friendship and answer the darkest hours of the year with music, joy and fire.  Join in caroling around the embers. 

Sam will be performing, along with his Mother, Lee Lindsey and sister, Grace at this year's Dundarave Festival of Lights.

From Lee Lindsey:

"Come Down to the Dunderave Festival of Lights to see the Lindsey Family preform! The stage is located at 25th and marine drive, just look for all the sparkly Christmas Trees! Grace, Sam and I will be on stage at 3:30 and would love if you could join us with your mittens and tea!"

Entirely community-driven, the Dundarave Festival of Lights is West Vancouver's principal celebration of arts and culture through the Christmas season. We keep the season bright with song, a forest of Christmas trees, and a loving heart for the homeless.

Mission

The Dundarave Festival of Lights is West Vancouver's principal celebration of arts and culture in the Christmas season. Entirely community-driven, we're ending homelessness beautifully with over $100,000 and counting raised to date for the North Shore Emergency Shelter.

Description

The Festival presents four Saturdays of fabulously festive and absolutely free concerts on Dundarave Beach. With thanks grants from the Department of Canadian Heritage, the Dundarave Festival has become one of the principal funders of arts and culture in our community during the Christmas season.

"Wow!" doesn't seem to be sufficiently descriptive for London's singer/songwriter, Sam Bradley.

Last night, a new audience heard first hand why A Soulful Sound makes such a fuss about Mr Bradley. In a venue befitting his larger-than-life vocals Sam performed the best set A Soulful Sound UK has seen from him. KOKO is blessed with great acoustics and to hear him perform Little Sister, a song that means so much to him, was stunning. We were privileged to hear his new song There She Goes (VIDEO) and if you like the folksy melodies of Dylan blended with a bit of Country - you're in for a treat.

The new ears present relished Too Far Gone and Passport, because let's face it - who doesn't?! It was good to see male audience members nodding to the bluesy rhythm of Lights, but I don't doubt that the opening lyrics of that particular song earned him some "cred" with the fist-bumping hipster blokes beside me.

There is no doubt in my mind that 2013 will be a VERY good year for Sam Bradley.

The Sam Bradley Street Team is recruiting new members.

What is a Street Team?

A street team is a group of fans that promote a musician on a grassroots level.

What's involved?

The work street teams do varies but can include things like passing out promotional sticker, putting posters up for show and new releases and calling local radio stations to request songs. The digital component to street team work includes sending emails and posting about the artist utilizing various social media tools.

Sam Bradley displayed his immense talent as usual at Ronnie Scott's on 6th November where he was winding down his three month residency. Despite there being several technical issues, Sam remained professional and entertained us all with his witty banter in between songs. Having performed several songs including 'Science Prevents Me', 'Not Your Kind', 'Lights' and Little Sister', I was pleasantly surprised by his new composition 'Drifting Away'. The song once again proved that Sam has unique writing skills, and this time brought to life with his new electric guitar, as well as getting the audience involved.

Also in his set list was the great tune 'She Moves Me', which I had not seen Sam sing live before but massively enjoyed it.

If you want to chill and enjoy some lovely lively music for the evening, Sam will give you just that!

He is supporting NEEDTOBREATHE at KOKO on Thursday 29th November.
